Retirement Games for Family and Coworkers
Choose retirement picture bingo or a shared prize story when family and coworkers know different parts of the retiree's life. Add a bucket-list vote only as a playful suggestion activity, leaving the retiree free to describe their real plans separately.
Avoid making personal knowledge the entry requirement
Retirement Bingo uses pictures such as Memory Book, Travel Bag and Watering Can. Players match calls from the supplied picture set rather than answer questions about career history or future plans.
The download includes 50 boards, 36 calling cards, a checklist and printable tokens. It offers full-page and two-per-page layouts in A4 and US Letter.
Prepare a caller who can read and show the images, then explain the winning pattern. This gives a relative and a colleague the same game procedure even if they have never met or know different stories about the guest of honor.
Keep the farewell gift outside the passing game
Retirement Left Right Pass the Prize Story has a one-page host script in each paper size. Guests pass one prize or token whenever the host reads LEFT or RIGHT, and the final holder wins.
Supply the object yourself and read the script before the celebration. The source does not guarantee that the retiree will be the final holder.
If the group has bought a specific retirement gift, present it directly during the farewell. Use a separate small prize or token for the game so the formal gift is not accidentally treated as something another guest may win.
Make bucket-list suggestions optional
Retirement Bucket List Voting Game contains 20 checklist items. Guests choose five adventures, then the host counts the votes and reveals the favorites.
This is a preference exercise, not an answer-key quiz. Preview the options and introduce them as playful suggestions. Guests should not need to make assumptions about the retiree's finances, health or private plans to enjoy the event.
The fixed PDFs have two pages in each paper size. Provide a player copy and pen for the voting format.
Give the tribute its own moment
- Decide whether the main game should be picture matching or shared passing.
- Prepare the caller set or host script in advance.
- Keep any formal gift separate from game prizes.
- Finish the activity before speeches begin.
- Invite the retiree to share only what they want about the next chapter.
The game can help different guest groups sit together. The celebration still belongs to the retiree, with time for thanks and personal conversation beyond the printed activity.
