Classroom game planning guides

Choose a classroom activity by its purpose and the space available. These guides explain introductions, party stations, seated games and screen-based review.

Before you choose: a few planning tips

Start with the classroom task

An introduction activity gives classmates a reason to talk. A celebration game offers a shared break. A review quiz needs questions that fit the material students have studied. Choose the purpose before choosing the format, and inspect the actual directions before setting a class expectation.

Use the icebreaker collection for welcome activities or browse party activities when planning a celebration.

Prepare for the room you have

Seated choice sheets and puzzles need player copies and pens. Charades needs an agreed acting space. Challenge stations require supplies selected from the individual cards, while screen games need a supported computer route and a display rehearsal.

Print a sample before making a class set. Full-page and two-per-page PDFs are layout choices, and smaller handouts may need a closer readability check.

Leave clear directions for another adult

Keep host answers separate from student pages. State how to start, how students participate and how the activity ends. If a substitute or helper is leading, prepare cut cards and materials in advance rather than leaving a large download for them to sort during class.
