Vet Tech Bingo Without the Last-Minute Cutting

The team is ready for its Vet Tech Week break, and you're still cutting tiny paper squares. Do the scissors work before anyone arrives: print one board per player, prepare all 36 calling cards and portion out the markers. Then bingo is a shared picture-matching round, not a production line. These five steps go from picking the PDF to packing a complete kit for the next group.

1

Pick one edition and test a board

Vet Tech Bingo: printing layouts

Choose A4 or US Letter to match your paper, then full-page portrait or two-per-page landscape. All four PDFs contain the same 50 player cards. The full-page files have 58 PDF pages each; the smaller layouts have 29 each.

Print at Actual Size or 100%, single-sided. Keep Pages per Sheet at one even for the two-per-page PDF: the pairing is already built into the file. Print a sample player page and token page, then check the labels and marker size before sending the rest.

Player cards occupy pages 3 to 52 in the full-page files and sheets 2 to 26 in the paired files. Select the boards you need and the support pages instead of automatically printing the complete set for a small lunch.

This set supplies the matching pieces: 50 boards, 36 calls, a caller checklist, tokens and a host guide. Pictures include a pet carrier, pet cone and chip scanner. You provide the printing, the cutting and someone to lead the calls.

2

Make a complete caller packet

Vet Tech Bingo: calling cards

Cut apart all 36 calling cards along the guides. Put them in an envelope with the checklist and host guide, and keep the tokens in a separate container. Count the calls now, while a missing piece is easy to find beside the printer.

At the table, reserve a clear space for drawn calls. You need to keep them all round so a claimed bingo can be checked. Keep drinks away from that space, because a wet calling pile is an awkward way to pause a party.

3

Portion a player's worth of markers

Vet Tech Bingo: printable tokens

The included token sheet has 36 markers and supplies one player. Print extra copies for the others, cut them, and put each portion in a small cup or envelope. Ordinary white paper works for the boards; cardstock makes calls and tokens sturdier.

You can also supply your own removable markers. Try them on the test board first so they cover a square without hiding its neighbors. Give each person a different player card, and check that everyone can see where the caller will show the pictures.

Lead the round, then leave a kit someone can reuse

4

Explain the pattern before the first call

Vet Tech Bingo: how to play

Ask everyone to mark FREE. Agree on five in a row, column, or diagonal, or a full-card win before play begins. For a first gathering, a line is easy to explain and easy to check.

Shuffle the complete calling set, draw one card, read the label and show the picture. Give people a moment to find the match. Keep the card and tick the checklist before the next draw.

When someone calls bingo, pause the draws. Check every square in the claimed pattern against the calls you've kept. Share simultaneous wins. Let the group enjoy the moment before you ask whether there's time for another round.

5

Reset everything together

Clear the removable markers and collect them back into portions. Reshuffle the full calling set for another round, checking that no call slipped under a player board. If another shift will play later, return the guide and checklist to the caller envelope.

Put the player boards in a dry folder and keep the calls separate from the tokens. Write a short packing note for the next host: boards, 36 calls, checklist, guide and markers. That saves someone from finding the missing envelope after everyone sits down.

Add a second activity only if the table asks for one

One finished round can be the entire game portion of your celebration. Thank the technicians, clear the boards and leave room for conversation. Keep an extra activity on hand only if you've planned a longer gathering and people want to keep going.

The Vet Tech Week Games Bundle has 25 themed games with game-specific host directions and objective answer keys. Browse the game list beforehand, pick one activity and read its directions so you know what supplies to bring.

For a different style, standalone Vet Tech Week Trivia has 20 multiple-choice questions, an answer key and a host guide. It comes in A4 and US Letter with single-page and two-per-page versions. Players circle answers, then the host scores one point per correct answer.

Clear the bingo materials before you hand out trivia. Tell anyone who has to leave that the main game is over, and invite the rest to the optional quiz. A clean ending keeps a quick thank-you from quietly growing into an afternoon agenda.

Questions and answers

How many token pages do I need?

One 36-token page per player when you use the supplied markers. Cut and portion them before the gathering so everyone can start together.

Do all four PDFs contain different boards?

No. They hold the same 50 boards in different paper sizes and layouts. Pick one edition for your event instead of printing every format.

What happens if two people win together?

Check both patterns against the retained calling cards and share the win. Clear the boards and reshuffle the complete calling set before another round.
