Coworker Farewell Party Game Plan
Use an office-themed emoji sheet for a farewell when you want a game that does not require researching the departing colleague. Put speeches and goodbye messages in their own part of the gathering, with an optional prize story if the group wants a shared closing activity.
Keep the puzzle about familiar office life
Coworker Emoji Game contains 20 clues with an answer key and a host guide. Its examples include Coffee Break, Team Meeting and Lunch Buddy. These are general office themes, not questions about one person's career.
The download supplies A4 and US Letter pages, plus two-per-page versions. Print player sheets and hold the solutions back until the reveal. A test copy lets you check that the emoji remain clear at your selected size.
As a host adaptation, guests can solve in pairs while waiting for the farewell portion to start. Make that arrangement clear before handing out sheets, especially if you plan to compare scores. Avoid adding personal questions that only long-serving colleagues can answer.
Use one prize for a shared closing game
Office Appreciation Pass the Prize provides a left/right story in A4 and US Letter. The host wraps one small prize, reads the lines and follows the final direction to identify the winner.
The source recommends six to twelve players. Arrange the circle and physical prize separately from the download. The activity is about following the story; it does not ensure the departing colleague wins.
If you are presenting a farewell gift, give it directly during the farewell. Do not place a gift intended for one person into a game whose ending may award it to someone else.
Help guests from different teams meet
Coworker Find Someone Who offers 20 checklist items and allows each person to sign up to two spaces. It can serve as an optional arrival activity when the farewell brings together unfamiliar departments.
Provide a copy and pen for each participant. The fixed PDFs come in US Letter and A4. This is a separate mingling option, not a prerequisite for attending the speeches or signing a leaving card.
Put the goodbye at the center
- Decide where the game fits around refreshments and speeches.
- Prepare only the chosen player and host pages.
- Explain whether play is individual, paired or optional.
- Finish the answer reveal before the farewell remarks.
- Leave unstructured time for personal goodbyes.
Choose one main activity rather than filling every pause. People may have come primarily to speak with the departing colleague; the game should give them an easy opening without taking over that conversation.
Questions and answers
Is the emoji game about the departing coworker?
No. It has general coworker-themed clues, including office routines. It is not a personalized farewell quiz.
