Free Nurse Bingo Card Generator for Your Unit
Your unit party needs a game you can get onto the printer before the break starts. Generate free nurse bingo cards from everyday shift words, print the caller list, and ask one colleague to call a round. The word pool includes little wins like a working pen and a teammate's thank-you. Use it for Nurses Week, a unit lunch or a small gathering after handoff.

Pick a title your group will recognize, such as "Nurses Week on Our Unit." Choose 5 by 5 cards with a FREE center, or 4 by 4 cards without one. Generate one card per player, then announce a complete row or column as the winning pattern. Add diagonals only if everyone agrees before the first call.
Have the caller read one word at a time and leave a pause for marking. Players cover a word only after hearing it called. Check a claimed line against the called history or the checked caller list, and share simultaneous wins. Nobody needs a story about why a square belongs on their card.
- Put the caller where everyone can hear without raising their voice across the unit.
- Leave one spare card and pen beside the host for a late arrival.
- Stop when the break ends, even if nobody has a line yet.
Get a clean copy from the unit printer
Test one sheet before sending the whole set. Check that the outside grid lines print, the words fit their squares and both cards are readable. The generator's print layout places two cards on US Letter or A4; leave the printer's Pages per Sheet setting at 1.
Print the caller list separately and keep it with the host. Plain paper and pens are enough for one round. For repeat rounds, use removable markers and clear every board before resetting the calls. Save the displayed seed and jot down the other settings so a misplaced card can be replaced.
Fit Nurses Week around the people joining
For a unit party with a shared break, run a called round together. For colleagues arriving at different times, start a fresh round for each small group. Someone joining halfway through a long call history spends their break catching up instead of playing.
A quieter pair can take turns calling from the printed list. For a mixed-role gathering, read the words aloud first so new colleagues feel included. Let people watch, chat or leave when they need to; the game is there to make the break easier.
Want the printable version?
Choose Nursing Bingo when you want illustrated cards already designed and a matching picture-calling set. It includes 50 player boards, 36 calls, a checklist, a host guide and printable tokens, in A4 and US Letter with one-card and two-card layouts. The four PDFs contain the same 50 boards. For its setup, follow our nursing bingo host guide.
Prefer an answer-and-reveal activity at the next gathering? Nurse Trivia has 20 multiple-choice questions, an answer key and a host guide. Its A4 and US Letter PDFs let you prepare a question round for a table group.
Questions and answers
Is this nurse bingo generator free?
Yes. Generate and print the word cards here without buying a product. The illustrated Nursing Bingo set below is a separate purchase with its own picture boards and calling set.
Do we mark things that happen during a shift?
Mark words only when the caller reads them. That keeps the round easy to check and lets everyone play from the break room without tracking workplace events.
How do I print the same cards again?
Keep the seed shown by the generator, along with your title, card size and number of cards. Restore those settings before reprinting, and give each player a different card from the set.
